Based on the composer David Behrman’s idea of “Deceptively Simple Scores” with complex results, EASY NOT EASY asks composers and music makers of all kinds to submit "simple pieces" that can be performed with no rehearsal. An adhoc ensemble performs those pieces for the first time in front of an audience.

This edition of Easy Not Easy, organized by Matt Mehlan, will celebrate the release of a limited edition book of Easy Not Easy scores - and brings the event to Chicago for the first time.
